Anyone can multiply a rate by a number of kilowatt-hours. The hard part is proving the model fits your bill first. Zero kW rebuilds every charge line from the published tariff and compares the total to what you were actually billed. If it does not reconcile, it says so and refuses to quote savings — because a savings figure computed against a bill the model cannot reproduce is not a number anyone should act on.
It also refuses to flatter. A 74 kW reduction on a Las Vegas LGS-2 account returns $4,952 a year, not the $11,926 you get by taking one summer month and multiplying by twelve. Summer on-peak rates apply four months a year. The engine computes the honest figure and names the inflated one. A platform you run yourself only works if the numbers on it can be trusted without someone vouching for them.
